November 9, 2022 Meeting
Oliver “Buck” Revell: “What Keeps Me Awake At Night”. As the senior FBI representative to the National Security Council, Buck Revell emerged as one of our leading authorities on terrorism and national security issues. This talk will be timely and informative.
Buck is currently the President of the Revell Group International, Inc. and actively serves in corporate leadership in companies and institutes with active involvement in world affairs.
His FBI career was filled with notable accomplishments. He was the Special Agent in Charge of the Dallas Division at the time of his retirement from the FBI.

Honorable Steve Bartlett: A former Dallas Mayor and U.S. Congressman, he will address issues we are all dealing with today. Steve has over thirty years of experience in City Hall and the U.S. Capitol and by years of serving on multiple corporate and not-for-profit boards addressing disabilities, home ownership, financial inclusion, education and health care. This will be a large group performance featuring musicians and vocalists vocalist that excel in the field of early music. Dr. Julianna Emanski-Kim leads this talented group. Her parents are new members to the club. Expect a lively and fun performance.
Lumedia Musicworks, Inc.: This 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Corporation brings early music to life through captivating live performances and short films. They have recently received a $20,000 grant from Carl B. and Florence E. King Foundation. They have also recently won a Gold Medal at the 2022 World Fest Houston Film Festival. Their live performances have been attended by several current and former board members that have given their endorsement to including this remarkable group in our list of programs. Gary Cargill: "A Film Critic's Reflection on ..."
For 24 years, Gary served as the film critic for WFAA-TV in Dallas (ABC), reviewing more than 10,000 films and conducting more than 20,000 interviews industry leaders. Through the years Gary sat down with the biggest names in the business including Robert DeNiro, Meryl Streep, Stephen Spielberg and Clint Eastwood.
After leaving WFAA-TV he co-founded the Dallas, Texas based film production company, Lascaux Films. His Lascaux Films credits include, “Words And Pictures,” starring Clive Owen and Juliette Binoche; “Believe Me,” starring Alex Russell and Nick Offerman; “Refuge,” starring Krysten Ritter and Brian Geraghty,” and “The Starck Club,” a feature documentary on the legendary 1980’s Texas nightclub. Gary recently jumped back into the world of reviewing films, working at the NBC Owned & Operated KXAS-TV in Dallas, TX.
His favorite films include “To Kill A Mockingbird”, “Schindler’s List”, and “Waiting For Guffman” (which he considers to be a comic masterpiece.) Some of Gary’s favorite moments include an evening with Oscar-winning composer John Williams conducting the Ft. Worth Symphony Orchestra, The Vail Valley Music Festival, a groggy Chuck Liddell falling asleep during a live television interview on “Good Morning Texas”, and countless hilarious interviews with Robin Williams, Tom Hanks, Emma Thompson, Denzel Washington, Matt Damon, Cate Blanchett, Judi Dench, Anthony Hopkins, George Clooney, Julia Roberts… the list is endless.
If Gary’s voice is familiar it’s because he has been the voice for hundreds of characters for radio, television, and animation over the course of his career.
